Privacy policy
GateSpec is an app for recording vehicles entering and leaving trucking company yards. It is used only by authorized employees of the carrier that contracts it.
Data the app processes
Photos taken by the user (vehicles, trailers, shipping documents), data entered or read from those photos (trailer, tractor, seal, plate and license numbers), the driver's signature, the guard's identifier, date and time. This data is sent encrypted (HTTPS) to the service's server and stored for the carrier that operates the yard.
Permissions
- Camera, to take the photos.
- Bluetooth (and the location permission Android requires for Bluetooth), to connect the tire gauge. The app does not collect or store the device's location.
- Internet, to sync.
Use
The data is used only to operate the service contracted by the carrier. It is not sold or shared with third parties, except infrastructure providers needed to provide the service.
Retention and deletion
Data is kept for as long as the carrier keeps the service. Access or deletion requests: through the carrier, or by writing to contact@lp.solutions.
